My son was disfellowshipped for being seen one time talking with a friend who was like a brother to him,who was disfellowshipped. He was turned in by a sister. He was only a teenager at the time. That was many years ago and most of my family has no contact with him to this day. If I had known what misery this religion would do to my life, I would have ran and fast. I think people need to know before they get in too deep. Thanks for the post.

i chose mine because i really feel 'in between', in that space where your not a jw anymore but really haven't figured out where you are in life and what path you want to take.

I was bothered by all the destruction and killing that Witnesses seem to focus on. Also the blood issue and being asked to choose death. I like the scripture where God says to choose life.

Let him know how this has hurt you. Remind him that you are willing to let him have freedom of religion and he needs to give you the same freedom. And mostly let him know that you can't help that this religion is a pack of lies. That is something he will have to deal with on his own.

They are being affected by a workman's comp. case at Bethel. I am sure they are scared of this spreading to publishers while out in field service. Don't think it would succeed though.

That means that the children are destroyed if the parents are unfaithful even if the child has a good heart. What happrned to God judging the heart? And what about those that God chose before birth like Samual and Samson? What if their parents were unfaithful while they were still under their parent's "protection." If a judgement time came, would these children have been destroyed? It just makes no sense.Choosing Life

The tort of misrepresentation is about that very subject. They have actually been an option for some time, but this was not made known to the rank and file in a formal article. This is deception and opens the door to legal liability.The BBC Programme was an excellent example. The author is upset that her mother died because she did not know they were acceptable. Thus, the article focusing on this very fraction to start damage control. Also, the set-up providing a response from one of the top boys disguised as an ordinary elder. I believe they have good reason to be fearful. I also believe they are disassembling the blood policy in the same way they do every other doctinal change-without ever actually saying they were wrong. But this one is going to come back and bite them in the butt.

When I first started talking with JWs, I remember a brother saying if you took a heart transplant that you would take on that person's personality. That statement sent up major red flags. Then I convinced myself that it was just one ignorant individual. Little did I realize that it was an entire ignorant and controlling organization. I wish I would have listened to some of the many red flags in the beginning. I feel as if I just fell off a truck and woke up this past year. I really believe that brainwashing is alive and well in the JWs.

The new article in the August Awake has completely blown the witnesses stand on blood. They even admit that hemoglobin makes up 33% of red blood cells which are a forbidden component for JWs. Secular sources place that at 97%-neither is a small fraction. They also admit that blood is the only "organ" in the body that is a fluid. So what is the difference between blood as an organ transplant and other transplants? And do people realize that this hemoglobin may be coming from a cow? Why do they forbid the safest way to replenish needed blood-storing our own God given blood in case of need? Yet they allow this hemoglobin.
I work in the health care field and this is one of the things that started me questioning the sanity of this religion. I cannot believe I actually bought all this propaganda-I've been in for over 30 years. By the way, I appreciate all the support I have gotten from all your posts this past year. You have helped me maintain my sanity.Keep up the good work. You don't know who you are helping.
